Benevolence can change the world

The Biomedical University Foundation, in tribute to an extraordinary man — Joaquín Navarro-Valls, an unforgettable and irreplaceable presence during the long pontificate of John Paul II and President of the Foundation’s Board of Guarantors — has established the Joaquín Navarro-Valls International Award for Leadership and Benevolence.

II° edition

Senior awardee: Lina Tombolato Doris

Senior awardee:
Lina Tombolato Doris

The second edition of the Joaquín Navarro-Valls International Award for Leadership and Benevolence honored Lina Tombolato Doris, a leading figure in entrepreneurship and philanthropy, for her ability to combine strategic vision with deep social commitment.
A promoter of educational projects and initiatives supporting families and the elderly, she has transformed entrepreneurial success into an instrument of shared good.
Continuing with her children the legacy of Ennio Doris, she has rooted her actions in a culture of generative solidarity, leaving a concrete and lasting mark on the lives of many.

Junior awardee: Nicolò Govoni

Junior awardee:
Nicolò Govoni

The Junior Award was presented to Nicolò Govoni, founder of Still I Rise, for transforming his personal experience into a global mission in service of education and human dignity.
With extraordinary vision and determination, he has founded schools in emergency contexts across eight countries, offering free International Baccalaureate programs to refugee children and youth.
His work, deeply grounded in a sense of justice and hope, demonstrates how it is possible to change the world one child at a time, by creating spaces of learning, care, and redemption in the most fragile areas of the planet.
